스프링필드 노동관계 부서 유급 인턴십… 지원 마감 3월 26일

일리노이 주 중앙관리부(CMS)가 한인 커뮤니티와 손잡고 2026년 여름 인턴십 참가자를 긴급 모집한다. 다양성·포용 커뮤니티 파트너 프로그램의 일환으로 마련된 이번 기회는 대학 재학생(2~4학년)을 선발해 주정부 노동관계 업무를 직접 경험하게 한다.
근무 부서는 CMS 노사관계실(Office of Labor Relations)이며, 스프링필드 스트래튼 빌딩에서 전면 대면으로 진행된다. 일정은 6월 1일부터 8월 7일까지 평일 오전 8시 30분~오후 5시다.
인턴은 노동조합 논의 및 중재 참관, 직원 고충처리 지원, 단체교섭 관련 파일 정리, 인력전략 및 유지 관련 조사 보조, 내부 교육 자료 업데이트 등의 업무를 맡게 된다.
지원 자격은 법학·정치학·경영학·커뮤니케이션 등 관련 전공 재학생으로, 우수한 작문·조사·정리 능력과 공공서비스에 대한 관심이 요구된다. 스프링필드 현지 거주 및 교통 수단은 지원자가 직접 해결해야 한다.
지원서는 이력서와 짧은 지원 동기서를 담당 이메일(kaachicago36@gmail.com)로 3월 26일(목)까지 제출해야 하며, 이메일 제목은 ‘CMS Internship 2026 in Springfield’로 기재해야 한다.
최종 선발은 3월 27일(금) 완료 예정이며, 선발된 학생에게 보수 등 세부 사항이 개별 통보된다.

2026 State of Illinois Summer Internship Cohort
Agency: Central Management Services (CMS) – Office of Labor Relations
Location: Springfield, Illinois (Stratton Building)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (in-person required)
About the Role
This internship offers direct exposure to public sector labor relations, including:
- Observing labor union discussions and arbitration
- Supporting employee grievance processes
- Organizing negotiation files and agreements
- Assisting with research on workforce strategy and retention
- Contributing to internal training updates
This is a strong opportunity for students interested in law, government, labor relations, or public policy.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate (Sophomore–Senior)
- Strong writing, research, and organizational skills
- Interest in public service or legal/government work
- Majors such as Legal Studies, Political Science, Business, Communications, or related

This position is based in Springfield, IL. Students should only apply if they:
- Can fully commit to in-person work in Springfield, and
- Are prepared to coordinate summer housing and transportation either through university partners or secure housing on their own
