겨울 박물관 특별 수업 ‘나만의 달항아리’… 인근 한글학교 초등생 대상

시카고한국학교가 시카고한인문화원의 특별전시 ‘지상의 웅변: 현대 한국 도자기의 전통과 혁신’(Earthly Eloquence: Tradition and Innovation in Contemporary Korean Ceramics)와 연계해, 인근 지역 한글학교 학생들을 위한 체험형 교육 프로그램을 운영한다.

이번 프로그램은 학생들이 실제 전시 공간을 방문해 한국 도자 예술의 전통과 현대적 해석을 직접 보고 느끼며, 한국 전통 예술의 미감과 정신을 자연스럽게 이해하도록 돕기 위해 기획됐다. 대상은 초등학교 3~6학년으로, 선착순 15명을 모집한다.

행사는 이달 29일(월) 오전 10시부터 정오까지 윌링에 있는 한인문화원 도서관 및 박물관(9925 Capitol Dr.)에서 열린다. 프로그램은 전시 이해를 돕는 감상 학습을 시작으로, 어린이 눈높이에 맞춘 이야기·체험 활동으로 구성됐다.

구체적으로는 전시 주제인 ‘지상의 웅변'(Earthly Eloquence. 또는 흙의 미학)’을 알아보는 전시 감상 학습에 이어, ‘두지의 마법 항아리’ 이야기를 듣고 전시장 곳곳을 탐색하는 보물 찾기 활동이 진행된다. 이후 자개를 활용해 ‘나만의 달항아리 액자’를 만드는 창작 체험이 마련되며, 마지막으로 활동을 돌아보는 소감 나누기 시간이 이어진다.

참가 신청은 온라인(등록신청 여기)으로 가능하며, 등록 마감은 이달 22일(월)이다. 선착순 마감이며, 등록 학생 각각 별도 등록 신청서를 작성해 제출해야 한다. 참가비는 학생 1인당 20달러다.(Zelle로 전송: info.chicagoks@gmail.com)

시카고한국학교는 “전시 관람과 창작을 결합한 이번 프로그램이 어린이들에게 한국 전통 예술을 친근하게 경험하는 계기가 되길 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

Chicago Korean School selected Ganggangsullae as a special cultural unit for this semester, allowing students to learn the meaning and value of traditional Korean culture through various hands-on activities. This time, in connection with the Chicago Korean Cultural Center’s special exhibition “Earthly Eloquence: Tradition and Innovation in Contemporary Korean Ceramics,” we hope to offer students from nearby Korean language schools the opportunity to directly view the exhibition and explore the aesthetics and spirit of traditional Korean art. We kindly ask for your interest and participation.

Your registration will be confirmed only after payment is received. Please note that the participation fee is non-refundable.
